Everyone knows about tides - the rising and falling of the sea. Twice a day, controlled by the Moon.

But few realize: The solid Earth does the same.

Lunar gravity doesn't just pull on water. It pulls on everything - on rock, on continents, on the Earth's core itself. And the Earth deforms.

Measurement is routine. Every modern GPS system must account for Earth Tides to be accurate. Particle accelerators like CERN calibrate their experiments accordingly.

How Large is the Deformation?

50 centimeters doesn't sound like much. But consider:

• This is solid Earth's crust
• Not water, not sand - rock
• Over the entire Earth's surface
• Twice a day

The mass moved is gigantic. The energy required is enormous.

The Energy

Where does the energy for this deformation come from?

From the rotation of the Earth-Moon system.

The Moon slows Earth's rotation - imperceptibly, but measurably. Our days get about 2.3 milliseconds longer per century. This energy doesn't disappear - it goes into the tides, both in water and rock.

The Energy Balance

0.2 Terawatts - that sounds like little. But to put it in perspective:

Earth Tides constantly deliver half the power of all the world's nuclear reactors - as mechanical deformation energy.

The Piezoelectric Effect

This is where it gets interesting for the RBI Theory.

Piezoelectricity: Certain materials - including quartz - generate electrical voltage when placed under pressure.

The Earth's crust is full of piezoelectric materials - particularly quartz, the main component of granite.

The Speculative Connection

The RBI Theory postulates:

The Osiris Shaft: A Step-up Transformer?

In this theory, the underground structures beneath the Great Pyramid play a key role. The so-called Osiris Shaft - a multi-level facility carved into the rock beneath the Gizeh Plateau - could function as a step-up transformer.

The water environment would be crucial: A sarcophagus that doesn't rest on dry stone but floats in a liquid resonance basin would be optimally coupled to the surrounding piezoelectric field.

The first four stages are physics. The last two are hypothesis.

The Open Questions

What We Know

• Earth Tides are real and measurable
• They contain significant energy
• Quartz is piezoelectric
• Pyramids contain quartz-rich granite

What We Don't Know

• Whether piezoelectric signals are relevantly large
• Whether pyramids could amplify them
• Whether any system could use this energy
• Whether ancient Egyptians knew about it

The Problem of Scale

Even if pyramids generate piezoelectric signals, they would likely be tiny compared to:

• Natural electromagnetic fields
• Lightning (which generates the Schumann resonance)
• Solar radiation

The physics is not on the side of the theory.

The Moon as "Power Supply"

The most poetic formulation of the RBI Theory:

"The Moon is the battery. The pyramids are the processor."

The idea: The Moon supplies - via Earth Tides and piezoelectricity - the energy. The pyramids process this energy into a usable signal.

It's an elegant metaphor. But metaphors are not physics.
